Welcome to the website of James Gordon, Cairngorm Framer.
clear, crisp images of landscapes and nature included on this site are brief snapshots of time and are James's personal favourites. They give just a taste of one of the most breathtaking and spectacular areas in the Scottish Highlands, now designated as the Cairngorms National Park, which extends from Grantown on Spey to the heads of the Angus Glens, from Ballater to Dalwhinnie and Drumochter including much of the Laggan area in the southwest and a large area of the Glen Livet Estate and the Strathdon/Glen Buchat area. James feels fortunate to live in an area which is abundant in natural beauty and which is further enhanced by the ever-changing, dramatic light, created by a wonderfully unstable climate.
Photography is one of the most powerful forms of communication and these images portray a never ending passion for photography and the landscapes and nature that surround those lucky enough to live or visit this area.
The pictures are available
as prints or digital images (for brochures, websites etc)
and commissions are readily undertaken. They can also be seen on display in the 1896 Gallery.
